Scanning is typically what people do when reading on the web. Its what you are most likely doing to this blog post right now.

People enjoy reading websites which give them an opportunity to scan effectively. One of the great ways of doing this is to use numerals like, 1, 46, and 1,074 instead of writing out, three, one hundred and eight, or forty five.

In fact, when you looked at this post you may have seen the numerals first, even though they were right in the middle. Keep this in mind when listing and bulleting, and use a number when permissible as it will grab attention.
